Behind the Scenes at the Veterans UK EXPO in Cheltenham
Introduction
On 4 September 2025, Cheltenham Racecourse became a hub of veteran support. The Veterans UK EXPO brought together charities, government organisations, and service providers dedicated to helping the Armed Forces community. Justice4Heroes was proud to be there, meeting veterans face-to-face and sharing information about hearing loss claims and our campaign for fairness.
What the Event Offered
The EXPO gave veterans direct access to advice on pensions, compensation, and welfare. From job opportunities to health services, the day was designed to make navigating civilian life a little easier. For us, it was also an opportunity to raise awareness of one of the most overlooked service-related conditions β Noise-Induced Hearing Loss.
Our Conversations
We met veterans at all stages of their journey. Some had already started claims, but many were hearing about their rights for the first time. Several were surprised that service from decades ago could still be recognised. Others felt relieved to find that they were not alone in facing the daily challenges of hearing loss.
Why It Matters
Events like Cheltenham build trust. Veterans can ask questions in person, hear from others who have already claimed, and see that Justice4Heroes is here to stand with them. We left the EXPO with new referrals, new contacts, and a renewed determination to ensure no veteran is left unheard.
