Why Pre-1987 UK Veterans Are Still Fighting for Justice
After five relentless months of campaigning, Justice4Heroes is proud to announce that our official Parliamentary petition is now LIVE. This could finally bring long-overdue justice to thousands of UK veterans who’ve been unfairly excluded from compensation — not due to lack of evidence, but because of an outdated legal shield known as Crown immunity.
What’s the Problem?
Right now in the UK, veterans who served before 1987 cannot claim compensation for hearing loss or other injuries caused during their military service.
Why? Because before 1987, Crown immunity protected the Ministry of Defence from being sued — in any area, not just claims for military deafness.
In other words:
• Same risk.
• Same service.
• Same sacrifice.
• But different rules.
This isn’t just outdated. It’s unjust — and it has left a generation of veterans completely shut out of legal redress.

Our petition demands equal rights and recognition for all veterans suffering hearing loss due to military service — regardless of what year they served.
