Justice4Heroes: Supporting Veterans Through Outreach and Hearing Loss Clinics
Since Sunday, 19th January 2025, Justice4Heroes has been privileged to attend two impactful outreach events and co-host two hearing loss clinics in partnership with veteran groups across the UK. These efforts have been instrumental in raising awareness about hearing loss among veterans and providing support to those who may not realise they are eligible to make a claim or simply need guidance to get started.
Outreach Events
Lanarkshire Armed Forces & Veterans Breakfast Club (AFVBC)
Date: 19th January 2025 | Time: 9:00–11:30
The Lanarkshire AFVBC is a vibrant and welcoming community of veterans who come together regularly to share camaraderie, support, and solidarity. Justice4Heroes joined their recent gathering to engage directly with veterans, offering personalised advice about hearing loss claims and raising awareness of the services available. By being present at this event, we were able to listen to veterans' stories and provide practical guidance on how to start their claims journey.
Minehead Armed Forces & Veterans Breakfast Club (AFVBC)
Date: 19th January 2025 | Time: 9:30–11:30
The Minehead AFVBC is another remarkable veterans' group known for its active involvement in supporting the local armed forces community. Justice4Heroes had the pleasure of attending their breakfast club to discuss the importance of addressing hearing loss, a common condition among veterans. We highlighted the steps veterans can take to determine if they may have a claim and offered reassurance that help is available.
Hearing Loss Clinics
ACVC Hub Charity Hearing Loss Clinic
Date: 23rd January 2025 | Time: 10:30–3:00
The ACVC Hub Charity is a fantastic organisation that provides a wide range of support to armed forces veterans and their families. Justice4Heroes partnered with them to host a dedicated hearing loss clinic, bringing along an expert audiologist to conduct on-site hearing tests. This clinic was a valuable opportunity for veterans to receive immediate and professional assessments while learning about their eligibility to file a claim.
Chippenham Armed Forces & Veterans Breakfast Club (AFVBC) Hearing Loss Clinic
Date: 25th January 2025 | Time: 9:30–12:30
The Chippenham AFVBC has long been a cornerstone of the local veterans' community. Co-hosting a hearing loss clinic with this group allowed us to further extend our support. Veterans attending the clinic benefited from on-site hearing tests and personalised advice from Justice4Heroes representatives. The clinic proved to be another essential step in connecting veterans with the resources they need.
Why These Events Matter
At Justice4Heroes, we are committed to creating as many outreach and clinic events as possible. These efforts allow us to engage directly with the veterans’ community, raise awareness about the challenges of hearing loss, and empower individuals to take action. We understand that many veterans may not realise they are eligible for compensation or might feel overwhelmed by the claims process. Through education and personalised support, we aim to remove those barriers.
Positive Impact
Since Sunday, 19th January, we are proud to have signed up close to 30 new cases from these events. This achievement is a testament to the importance of organising and participating in such initiatives. Each new case represents a veteran who is now on their way to receiving the support and justice they deserve.
Looking Ahead
Justice4Heroes will continue to build partnerships with veterans' groups, host clinics, and attend outreach events to ensure that no veteran feels left behind. Whether through a simple conversation, an informative session, or a professional hearing test, we remain steadfast in our mission to support those who have served.
