March Armed Forces Fair and Beyond – How Community Events Drive Change for Veterans
Introduction
For many veterans, support begins not in a courtroom but in a community hall, a fairground, or a festival. The March Armed Forces Fair (MAFF) in August was proof of how powerful these gatherings can be.
Justice4Heroes attended MAFF, speaking with veterans, families, and charities. The outcome was clear: more referrals, more petition signatures, and a stronger community voice.
What Happened at MAFF
Veterans signed our petition on the spot, helping us move closer to 18,000 signatures.
Lots of new referrals were made in August, many sparked by conversations at the fair.
Veteran Forces Radio invited us to a live interview, spreading our message worldwide.
This single event connected us not only with local veterans but also with those living abroad, proving the global reach of digital media.
Why Events Matter
Many veterans hesitate to seek help. They may not know they are eligible, worry about stigma, or feel uncertain about the process. Meeting face-to-face changes that. At events, veterans can:
Ask questions confidentially.
Hear from others who have already claimed.
See that they are not alone.
Events also strengthen trust. When veterans see Justice4Heroes standing alongside them in their own community, it builds confidence to take the next step.
